Fighting against a two party system
As the credibility of the Bush administration falls into the range of a poor joke the struggle for america political future falls back into a struggle for control of the democratic party, long dominated by the centrist democratic leadership council. The DLC has begun slowly to come into attention as it is challenged in Connecticut, were former DLC chair and incombent Senator Joseph Lieberman is being challenged by anti-war candidate Ned Lamont who has recently recieved an endorsement from Move On the democratic anti war organization. Will Marshall, DLC president and founder who has ussually maintain a low profile has come forward with several statements in defence of Lieberman calling the democratic primary race in Connecticut a battle over the soul of the democratic party, borrowing the same slogan Jerry Brown once used in his campaign against another former DLC chair Bill Clinton. The question at this point goes far beyond that. The DLC has prevented meaningful opposition to the war within the electorial process, the DLC has reinterated it's support for the war in a recient book, edited by Marshall entitled "With all our might" advocating a smarter approach to war mongering. The DLC has called for democrats to stop demanding an investigation into Bush and the Iraq war and instead calls for a more effective program to advance war aims. The book outlines a five point plan for a militeristic foreign policy agenda aimed at fighting "Jihadist Terrorism";
* Marshalling all of America's manifold strengths, starting with our military power but going well beyond it, for the struggle ahead;
* Rebuilding America's alliances, because democratic solidarity is one of our greatest strategic assets;
* Championing liberal democracy in deed, not just in rhetoric, because a freer world is a safer world;
* Renewing U.S. leadership in the international economy and rise to the challenge of global competition; and
* Summoning from the American people a new spirit of national unity and service.
What the DLC and Marshall fail to understand is that justice is an underlining feature of any real democratic action. George W. Bush, aided and abeted by the pro-war DLC, lied both to the american people and to foreign allies in order to create a war that has destabilised the middle east for the profit of corporations to which he has ties. Repairing this situation must start with america coming clean and stepping back from the control it has attempted to establish by force. Liberal democracy cannot be championed by armies of invasion. The american people and the people of the world have been opposed to the agression advocated by both the republican neo-conservatives and the democratic neo-liberals.

Some old Songs from old Natlfed/CPUSA(P) sings
Well within the tradition of communist and prolitarian organizing group singing was a major social component of CPUSA(P). I have included three that are all original to Natlfed and might express something of the provisional ideology.
Social security Blues (to the tune of St James infirmory blues)
at the social security office, just the other day
they kept my check from coming,
not a thing I can do they all said
well at the front desk they kept me a half a day,
your turn will come they said.
we got new regulations,
which before you came you should have read
well you did not send me a copy form
and I can't live on air
the landlords called the police,
and the cover is just about bare.
I went in to see my worker, your case is weak she said
I went in to see the supervisor, when I left he was lying thier dead
Let him go let him go god bless him, where ever he may be,
He can search the world all over, he'll never hold another
check back from me
Now you've heard my sad story, I have twenty years to lose
and if anyone should happen to ask you I have the social security
Blues
Proud to be a cadre for the Union/Party (to the tune of Proud to be an okie from Muskogee)
We don't read Joe Stalin down in Belport
We don't fly no flags of crimson red
We don't take no orders from the Kremlin
We just want to see Joe Coleman dead
Oh I'm prund to be a cadre for the party
I carry my party card as my ID
and when they come to call me off to prison
I always ask the party what's my plea
Oh we don't try to emulate the panthers
We don't sing no songs of Ho Chi Min
We just want to make the revolution
and the union is the workers way to win
Oh I'm prund to be a cadre for the party
I carry my party card as my ID
and when they come to call me off to prison
I always ask the party what's my plea
So If you want to live in peace and freedom
If you want to liberate your land
come then all you workers join the party
and to gether we will make a fighting stand
And then will read Joe Stalin down in Belport
then we will fly our flags of crimson red
then will send our orders to the Kremlin
and Joe Coleman and his thugs will all be dead
Ballid of Patty Hurst (to theTune of Daydream Believer )
You once felt the need to hang out with Steve and weed
Still you brought a smile to Randolhgs face
until into your life crept Cinque from the altra left
and made you the brainwash queen of the SLA
Cheer up Tanya hurst, things could be much worse
for a urban guerilla with a Husrt family purse
FBI most wanted list shows just how much you where missed
hiding on your pennsylvania farm
despite all that you did you where still a snot nose kid
who never really did the system harm
Cheer up Tanya hurst, things could be much worse
for a urban guerilla with a Husrt family purse
I saw you on TV when you finally copt a plea
and randolphs money finally set you free
but you comrades who weren't found had to head on
under ground they did not have as rich a family tree
Cheer up Tanya hurst, things could be much worse
for a urban guerilla with a Husrt family purse

UN panel finds US in violation of 1984 convention against torture.
In an 11 page report issued today a UN panel calling for the closing of the US dentention facility in Guantanamo Cuba and to eliminate the use of interrogation techniques that use sexual humiliation, threatening prisoners with dogs, and simulating near drowning through the practice of "water boarding".
In the report CAT (committee against Torture) also looked at questionable practices within domestic prisons in the US such as the use of electric shock devices and failure to adequately investigate cases of rape by prisoners on other prisoners. Reviewing a 4 year investigation into the torture of 192 African Americans by Chicago police interrogators were officers used soffocation techniques, electric shock and Russian Roulette to force confessions. The committee chairman Fernando Marino Menendez said the US Government needed to provide more information on what it was doing to ensure justice for people claiming to have been tortured by Chicago Police.
Concerned with wide spread reports that the US has established secret prisons in violation of the 1984 treaty where captives are held outside the access of the international red cross the report states that the US should "disclose the existance of any such facilities and the authority under which they have been established and the manor in which detainees are treated.
While CAT welcomed the pledge that "all US agencies including outside contractors are prohibited from engaging in torture at all times and places" it expressed skepticism about the United States commitment to comply with such pledges and many members of the panel have questioned how the US defines torture.

US promotes further destablization
Thier has been a number of reports in asian and middleeastern news sources to indicate that the US is already conducting a secret war in Iran, extending the conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq over the border in a way not unlike the expansion of the Vietnam war over the border into Cambodia. Nor is this just a result of the Bush administration, as major democrats associated with the DLC have called for a more agrressive position toward Iran.
Now the US has been connected to last weeks battles over the control of the Somalia capital Mogadishu. Under the so called war on terrorism the Bush administration has funded a number of warlords in the hope of gathering intelegence on Al-qaeda members potentially hiding in Somalia and in the hopes that the warlords may be able to capture and turn over an Al-qaeda operative. The support of warlords endangers the transitional Somalian government and promotes contenued destablization of the country, harming the long term interest of the people of both Somalia and the US.
At the end of 2002, the US established a 1,600 strong anti-terrorist task force of US troops in neighboring Djibouti creating the possibility of these troops becoming engaged in combat in the horn of Africa.
